Bed of Nails is crafted as an American ode to a traditional English brown. A light hop addition balances the natural sweetness present in the specialty malt. This beer’s delicate body and dry finish allow flavors of toffee and dark fruit to shine through.
An authentic, true-to-style west country English bitter, recognized in England as a session beer full of flavor. A hearty base of Golden Promise with layered crystal malts offers a bready, caramelly canvas that exudes dark fruit. This maltiness is complemented by the soft, apple-fruity character provided by the traditional English yeast. The fruit is balanced by a floral hop aroma and flavor and a firm bitterness in the finish.
Bestie is a delicious session Pub Ale brewed in collaboration with England’s Arundel Brewery, Wild Heaven Beer and Robert Merrick of Atlanta’s 9 Mile Station. Built on the backbone of a traditional Standard Pub Ale with our own twist added, Bestie is designed to be a flavor-forward, yet easy-drinking beer. It is medium amber in color with light hints of peat and dark fruits and finishes crisp and clean with lingering floral hops.
Bomb! is an imperial stout aged on espresso beans, chocolate, vanilla beans, and ancho chile peppers. All the flavors meld to create a truly unique beer. The peppers add just the right amount of heat to complement the intense coffee and chocolate flavors.
Imperial Stout Aged on Cinnamon, Coffee, Chocolate, Vanilla & Chilies
The goal was simple: a beer with the flavor of an ale and the smoothness of a lager. That's how Genesee Cream Ale (the brainchild of this brewery) became an American original. Today, every batch of Cream Ale is skillfully brewed to achieve its smooth character and a remarkably creamy white head worthy of its name.
Inspired by some of our favorite West Coast IPAs, the bold pine, citrus, peach, and tangerine hop flavors, along with a clean bitterness are balanced by a velvety malt backbone. This beautiful blend of flavor and drinkability showcases the truly unique experimental hop 05256 which we find to be delightfully juicy and dank. You don’t need tiny arms and a huge head to enjoy this mammoth IPA!
Death seems so obvious: the end of life, no mas, kaput. But Humans stand an optimistic animal. Many traditions suggest alternate endings: Resurrection, reincarnation, rebirth, afterlife. Even the atheist view of Eternal Oblivion doesn’t seem quite final. As usual, Jewish tradition prescribes… Food. 7 days of family, community, and bagels (beer!) called, Shiva, meaning “7” in Hebrew. The flip side to the 7 days of Creation with the 7th as a holy day of rest. The first meal of Shiva is “the comfort meal.” And the number 7 provides powerful mojo: 7 Jewish wedding blessings, 7 Liberal Arts, 7 stars of the Big Dipper, 7 colors of the rainbow, 7 seas, 007 license to kill, 7 dwarves, 7 deadly sins, Best of 7 finals in NBA, NHL, MLB, 7th Inning stretch. George Costanza yearned to name his firstborn, “7” as a living tribute to #7 Mickey Mantle. The 7 award however must go to the immortal George Carlin for 7 Dirty Words, inspired by another He’brew hero Lenny Bruce. To commemorate our conversion from that “dirty word” in craft to our very own crib in Clifton Park, behold DEATH (of a Contract Brewer) BLACK ALE, our Shmaltz homage to new life. Home sweet home. L’Chaim!
Colour and sight: Dark brown-red. A compact white-yellow, stable and lacing head. Scent: Touches of caramel, mocha and chocolate. Spices such as liquorice and coriander are also present. Flavour: Initially, a very good mouthfeel of alcohol and softness. This is followed by an increasing bitterness, partially from the hop, but also from the roasted malt and chocolate malt. Towards the end a nice balance between bitterness, sour and sweet.
A roasty scotch ale with a hint of smoke. Full-bodied, but not overpowering. Smokey, but not in a creepy bar kind of way. Sweet, but not obnoxiously so. Sound like your ideal mother-in-law? Fair enough, but it also is a pretty dead-on description of our Scotch Ale. In a difficult hop-growing climate, Scottish brewers relied on other ingredients to impart flavor and bitterness – one such ingredient was smoked malt. Drafty Kilt is a dark, malty bombshell of a beer.
The light shines in your face from the lamp above and you answer as the truth finally hits you … “yes I want something besides an IPA”! What you really want is an Scofflaw Interrogation Milk Stout with coffee. Interrogation pours jet black with fluffy khaki head that never dissipates, sitting on top of the stout like a fluffy marshmallow. The aroma of fresh roasted coffee hits your nose like the aroma emanating from the adjacent break room. Next you are greeted with subtle notes of vanilla and rich dark chocolate after the first sip. The taste is a coffee lovers’ paradise-a cold brew medium roast with the dark malts; leading you to hints of roasty chocolate and a lingering creamy lactose sweetness. This stout may be easy drinking but upon further questioning, will you crack and order another?

Peak XV- The Earth’s highest mountain- Was first measured in 1856, then renamed Mt. Everest nine years later. In 20 years the ascent was proposed, but it would be another 68 years (and several unsuccessful attempts later) before the summit was finally reached. In admiration of the human spirit and the courage required to accomplish this supreme feat, we offer this dark towering brew. Subtle undertones of vanilla are brought forth using multiple sources of whole vanilla beans, followed by a stupendous nose of dark chocolate - Provided by locally sourced cacao nibs. The flavor is massive chocolate, creamy vanilla, toasty and malty. The finish is epic.
Inspired by the House Family’s annual visit to the beautiful Hawaiian Islands our Pineapple cider is an ideal drink for tropical hot and humid climates. It was just a brief 100 years ago when women garnered the right to vote in our home state of New York. In a political climate like today, where pink pussyhats are a common accessory for the modern woman, we must not forget that strong female voices weren’t always accepted. In 1917, women of all New York counties marched, picketed, and protested to have their voices heard. Courageous women from across the country picketed the White House and went door to door for over a year collecting signatures of women who demanded the right to vote. These women had chutzpah! Voting rights, and easy and affordable access to women’s health services must stay a proud American tradition. Hoist this double IPA, an authentic American invention, and honor the strong women in our lives. Cheers to 100 years and beyond.
Shploing!! is out first ever beer to go into cans and we wanted to make something extra special for the occasion. A mango s’mores IPA brewed with mango, vanilla, marshmallow fluff, graham crackers, rock salt, lactose sugar and an abundance of our favorite hops.
Limited Edition Unfiltered Citrusy and tart Our Facebook fans were polled and overwhelming chose this most recently launched Bloody Orange Flavor. This unfiltered addition of ACE is to honor the owner, Jeffrey House’s wife who played Brea Tonnika in the cantina scene in the original Star Wars. Her picture is featured on the bottleneck. This unfiltered tropical fruit forward IPA gives off notes of pineapple, peach, and watermelon. Smooth with medium bitterness and just enough malt backbone to support the hops. Brewed with pale malt and dry hopped with 2lbs. per barrel of El Dorado and Simcoe.
Straffe Hendrik Tripel is a golden triple with a sturdy white collar. The armona is spicy with hints of black pepper, coriander and ginger, and is even insinuating the presence of oranges. The beer is brewed with a selection of Saaz and Styrian hops of a very high quality. The subtle blend of six special varieties of malt gives the beer a well-balanced and powerful taste. The palate initiates a hint of caramel, soon flowing into a certain bitterness. In the finish one can discover citrus fruits and even subtle flavours of banana. The triple has an alcohol percentage of 9° and the refermentatation in the bottle generates a long natural shelf life. The combination with zesty fish plates is a real treat, but Straffe Hendrik can also be paired with cheeses such as camembert or Brugse Blomme. Straffe Hendrik is know to be a real delicay when combined with desserts based on pineapple or mango as well.
Vanilla Cherry Dogpatch takes everything you love about our regular Dogpatch Sour and turns it up to 11. We started with our base red sour ale and added a ridiculous amount of Bing, Rainier and Montmorency Cherries to each barrel for a juicy, intense cherry flavor that exudes summer. Then we added in whole Madagascar vanilla beans, building on oak’s natural vanilla flavor. The final blend creates a delicate balance of fruit and oak that keeps you coming back for more. Pair this summer sipper with game bird, fruit sauces and still-warm pie.
You know the expression, “A Velvet Glove and an Iron Fist”? It was coined to refer to a regime that used a soft exterior to hide its punishingly unforgiving nature. This seems an apt description for our Velvet Glove. Its placid appearance and unparalleled smoothness hide the truth; this is one fiendishly strong stout. Rich, chocolaty espresso dominates the flavor profile, with a velvety smooth texture that will haunt your senses.
Our interpretation of a Belgian-style wheat beer is brewed with oats, malted wheat, and unmalted raw wheat for a hazy, “white” appearance. Spiced with our own special blend of coriander and Curaçao orange peel, White upholds the Belgian tradition of beers that are both complex and refreshing. Though it’s brewed in Maine, the recipe sticks to its Belgian roots. We’ve worked hard to make sure that the White in your hand tastes the same as it did back in 1995, when Rob Tod brewed the first batch.
White Label pairs two “blancs”: California-grown Muscat Blanc grapes and German Hallertau Blanc hops. Blended together in wine barrels and large oak foudres, this mixed-fermentation farmhouse ale emerges from the casks as a unique hybrid of beer and wine. The combination of white wine grapes, Monukka raisins and tropical-aroma hops create a luscious nose of ripe apricot, lychee and lemongrass. Finished with a touch of coriander and Grains of Paradise, this complex sipper is a perfect pairing for dishes like mussels steamed in coconut curry, fresh pad thai, and macadamia crusted halibut.
Why "Authentica"? Because our Classic Red Sangria is authentically Spanish and uses only native Spanish grapes and natural ingredients to create deliciously bright flavors of juicy orange citrus, cherry, grape, and a touch of apple. Authentica is lower in calories, per ounce, than most Sangrias! We let the fruit make it sweet, so don't have to add very much sugar. The result is a more refreshing, easier to drink Sangria.
This wine is purely and simply summertime in a glass. The 2015 Hogwash Rose displays a pale salmon-pink color and a beautiful and lively nose that showcases aromas of watermelon candy, red cherries, red current and rose water. Medium bodied, it has incredible vibrancy that combines with its great finish to create a wine that is both a very serious rose wine but has something for everyone.
TASTE + STYLE A touch tropical, our Chardonnay is crisp and clean, bright with balanced acidity, that lets the signature lemon-lime and a touch of apple flavors of Monterey shine through. VINEYARD + PRODUCTION Our 352 acre Shirtail Creek estate vineyard takes advantage of Monterey’s cooling fog and Pacific coastal breezes, drawn across the Gabilan Mountains into the Salinas Valley, creating an ideal climate for growing Chardonnay. The moderate temperatures lengthen the growing season, allowing the fruit to evolve with layers of distinct Central Coast flavors. Our Chardonnay is fermented and aged in stainless tanks without any oak or malolactic influence.
